Players Devotion Week 6 - Confident, Not Arrogant
Share
Theme - Confident, Not Arrogant
Opening Reflection
Confidence is important in sports. You need to believe in yourself to compete at a high level. But confidence becomes dangerous when it turns into pride—when success makes you think you don’t need coaches, teammates, or God.
Scripture
📖 “For it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill His good purpose.” — Philippians 2:13
Devotional Message
True confidence doesn’t come from stats, attention, or comparison—it comes from knowing who you are and where your ability comes from. God gave you your talent, your strength, and your opportunity to play. When you remember that, confidence stays grounded.
Pride says, “I did this on my own.”
Confidence says, “I’m prepared, I’m grateful, and I’ll give my best.”
This week, play boldly—but stay humble. Trust your preparation. Respect your teammates. Stay coachable. When confidence is rooted in gratitude, it becomes a strength—not a weakness.
