Parents Devotion Week 2

Week 2 Theme: Consistency at Home Creates Confidence on the Field
Opening Reflection:
Parents often see the highs and lows of youth sports—the excitement of progress and the frustration of setbacks. What children need most during those moments is consistency, not pressure.
Scripture:
“Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” — Galatians 6:9
Devotional Message:
Consistency in encouragement, expectations, and support creates stability for young athletes. When parents stay steady—win or lose—children learn resilience. They learn that effort matters more than outcomes and that growth takes time.
This week, focus on reinforcing daily habits rather than results. Praise effort. Encourage discipline. Model consistency in your own words and actions. When children see steady leadership at home, they gain confidence to stay committed through challenges.
Reflection Questions:
• How do I respond when my child struggles or fails?
• Am I encouraging effort or focusing only on results?
• What consistent example am I setting through my actions?
Parent Prayer:
Lord, help me remain patient and consistent as I support my child. Give me wisdom to encourage growth, discipline, and perseverance. Let my example teach faithfulness and trust in You. Amen.
